When a message is sent on Snapchat, the app indicates its delivery with different symbols. "Delivered" means that the message has reached the recipient’s device, but they haven’t opened it yet. In other words, the message has been sent and received by the receiver's device but they haven’t seen it yet. The symbol for a "delivered" message is usually a filled-in arrow next to the person’s username in the chat window. Once the recipient opens the message, the symbol changes to a blue unfilled-in arrow. However, if a message is still showing "delivered” for more than 24 hours, it could mean the recipient has deliberately left it unopened or they are not active on Snapchat. In some cases, the recipient's Snapchat account may also be temporarily or permanently banned, which could prevent the message from being delivered or opening.
